How Does the Intake Process Work?

The Regional Coordinator completes a checklist to ensure they collect important information to assist the referral process. The Regional Coordinator will help decide whether a child is eligible for the VPRS. This may involve discussing the case with the Rehabilitation Specialist allocated to support the intake process and phoning the family, school and other community services for supporting information. The child/young person will be then given an appointment with the VPRS. This may be in a clinic appointment with a Rehabilitation doctor and allied health staff or just with an allied health team member.
